PCOC Scholarship Foundation

Released each year in January and is normally due in March

The Pest Control Operators of California is a non-profit trade association whose prime objective is to encourage interest and participation in the Pest Control Industry. The association is broadly involved in educational and training programs to both the consumer and trade industry level. Founded in 1942 the membership of PCOC has grown from 120 then to its current number over 1400, bringing together business owners, employees, support industries and other related interests to better the level of professionalism within our own ranks.

Why the scholarship?
The structural pest control industry serves a vital role in maintaining and improving the quality of life in our day-to-day surroundings by keeping the environment we live in clear of insects and vermin that can invade the places we dwell and contaminate the food we eat. In order to develop a better quality industry we have to reach out to the youth of America to let them become aware of our trade as a viable career move that has its own rewards while contributing to society. This scholarship is a step in that direction, raising the level of awareness that we have a viable industry that is waiting for good people to join its ranks.
